Hand-drawn Halloween artwork for Werewolf Game: Night Claw: the Necromancer, a red-haired woman in a dark blue hood crowned with a horned skull, holds a skull against her cheek. Behind her, a huge blood orange moon rises over a black village, a graveyard and a grinning jack-o'-lantern.

Werewolf Game: Night Claw · Halloween 2026 The dead are back.

For Halloween, we brought the dead back into the game with a brand-new role, a transformed village and a darker atmosphere designed from the ground up.

Enter the night
Portrait of the Necromancer: piercing orange eyes, long red hair, a horned skull resting on her head like a crown and a second skull cradled in her hand, framed by a cracked orange moon.

A new role

The Necromancer

For the first time, being eliminated doesn’t mean you’re out of the game.

  1. Night A player is killed while the village sleeps.
  2. 20seconds Their ghost awakens and can speak only through gestures. No words, just hands, faces and whatever they can mime before the time runs out.
  3. Trust The Necromancer knows every ghost’s true identity, and decides whom to believe.

The whole game changes

Halloween takes over the village.

Cobwebs, bats, graves, fog and a darker atmosphere transform the village for Halloween. The same home screen players know by heart, redrawn for one night of the year.

All year long
The usual Night Claw home screen: two snarling werewolves before a pale moon, above a quiet village skyline.

The Halloween home screen: the same werewolves draped in cobwebs, bats crossing the moon, and a foggy graveyard with crosses, jack-o'-lanterns and a little ghost along the bottom.

How Night Claw is played

One phone. One table. No game master.

Werewolf Game: Night Claw runs the entire game from a single phone, so nobody has to sit out as the game master.

The phone travels around the table. Each player discovers their role in secret, then passes it on. A narrator voice, music and sound carry the night, and everyone else is free to lie, accuse and laugh across the table.

It is not a game you play on a screen. It is a game you play with each other.

Hear Mora, the voice that runs every game.

Transcript: My name is Mora. Who I am doesn’t matter... Tonight, I’m the Game Master. No rules to learn, no one to referee. I deal the roles, I lead every night, and I never make mistakes! Come closer. I don’t like repeating myself...

Lolly’s turn. She reads her role, taps “Got it” and passes the phone on.

Selfies, not avatars

Your friends become the characters.

When players join a game, they take a selfie. From then on, those faces are the village: the ones the werewolves choose between, the ones accused at dawn, the ones that come back as ghosts.

On Halloween night, that usually means fake blood, witch hats and a very unconvincing vampire.

After the last vote

Every game leaves a memory.

When the night ends, Night Claw puts together a recap of the game: who won, who lost, every player’s selfie next to the role they were secretly playing.

It is the moment everyone finds out who was lying all along. And it is something to keep, or send to the group chat once the table is cleared.

End of game recap in Night Claw titled “Werewolf Game: Night Claw”. Under “Werewolves won”, a werewolf illustration with the two winning players’ selfies. Under “They lose”, five costumed players, each paired with the illustrated role card they held. The game’s date and time sit at the bottom, like a stamp on a souvenir.

Behind the night

Made by hand.

Every character starts with a drawing.

Werewolf Game: Night Claw is an indie game made by a couple in Toulouse, France.

Sheis an illustrator-designer.

Heis a developer.

We built Night Claw in our spare time after countless nights playing Werewolf with friends.

Every character and illustration is created in-house.

The Halloween update continues that approach, from the Necromancer artwork to the redesigned village and the smallest details of the interface.
